Information Governance Statement of Compliance (IG SoC) Toolkit Services
Professional IGSoC Toolkit Compliance Services for organisations working with Health
The compliance requirements of the NHS are described in a process known as the IGSoC or Information Governance Statement of Compliance. This raft of documentation includes the completion and submission of an Information Governance Toolkit, an information governance assurance statement and a more technical document known as the logical connection architecture (LCA).
- The IG Toolkit addresses the governance, policy and management aspects of security
- The Logical connection architecture (LCA) addresses the more technical areas of the solution and includes a network diagram with data flows
- The IG assurance statement is a commitment by the person legally responsible for the organisation, typically the CEO, that governance requirements will be met.
Most companies find completion of the Information Governance Toolkit (IG Toolkit) to be a time consuming, confusing and often unsuccessful process. There is very little help available from the NHS and guidance is often considered to be vague as it has to cover such a wide range of organisation types and sizes.
Hytec, OLM’s specialist information governance and security division, provides services to support NHS N3 Connection, PSN connectivity and ISO 27001 certification. Our client base is substantial and includes corporations of all sizes. We believe our success in winning and retaining clients is due to Hytec’s deep and ongoing understanding of N3 compliance requirements in the UK
Hytec works with clients to get them to a point at which they can get the sign off from the NHS required before ordering an N3 circuit. Companies have various starting points, with some requiring little guidance and other requiring a more structured process. Hytec will support clients throughout all stages of the journey, regardless of the starting point.
