Birmingham City Council is one of the largest councils in Europe supporting a diverse community of over one million people across 40 wards. Birmingham City Council required a new IT system that would support their social care needs for the next decade as they transform their service. Following on from an extensive tender exercise and two-day demonstration evaluation, Birmingham City Council have selected OLM’s Platform for Care to support their Adult, Children and Finance ICT requirements.
Aligned with BCC’s agenda, they required a system that supported emerging models of social care delivery, reduced the administrative burden on their social workers, enhanced supervision and enabled more time to be spent doing social work with people and families.
OLM’s Eclipse system impressed due to its user experience and rich functionality that supported modern social care. OLM will be providing a single integrated SaaS Platform available 24/7.
Alastair Gibbons, Executive Director of Children's Services from Birmingham City Council said:
“Our focus is the quality of life for our citizens, protecting and promoting the well-being of all vulnerable children, families and adults in Birmingham and continue to improve social work practice. We were looking to procure a single platform built on the latest technology, that will support social workers and allow them to spend more time working with children and adults in need, while also enabling the voices of users of our services to be heard. OLM’s Eclipse solution has been built with social workers and has the functionality and performance that will help us to deliver service improvements and achieve better integrated working.”
Peter O’Hara CEO and Founder of OLM stated:
“We are delighted to continue our work with Birmingham and build upon the existing partnership.
